PORTLAND, OR—Swan Island Networks (swanislandnetworks.com), a leading provider of threat intelligence and situational awareness software, is excited to announce its partnership with the Metropolitan Resilience Network (MRN), an innovative public/private initiative hosted by the International Center for Enterprise Preparedness (InterCEP) at New York University and championed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The MRN will be leveraging Swan Island’s TIES for Microsoft CityNext® Threat Intelligence SaaS platform to carry out many of its core objectives, from providing both government and business leaders with a regional common operating picture to enabling real-time intelligence, collaboration and resource sharing between public and private sectors in times of crisis.
As a pilot project, Swan Island analysts joined forces with the MRN Research team to create ten dashboards detailing transportation delays, crime alerts, news headlines, weather forecasts, and social activity along Pope Francis’ visitation route in New York City on September 24-26. “Our analysts worked around the clock to provide comprehensive, up-to-the-minute information on Pope Francis’ visit,” said CEO Charles Jennings. “Our dashboards were distributed to key stakeholders in the New York and New Jersey region, both public and private, and were displayed in the Emergency Operations Center at the Port Authority for the duration of the Pope’s stay in NYC.”
